We have been working in partnership with the Parish Council to set up a village network of Street Championswho are busy carrying out essential everyday tasks for villagers. You should have had a card through your door telling you the name of your Champion. They have clear instructions not to enter your home or take your bank card and will always observe social distancing guidelines. We couldn't have managed to set up this network without the generous help of the Darvell Bruderhof Community, who have assisted with a whole range of tasks and have been with the team every step of the way.NOTE: Some of the outlying areas of the parish will be supported directly through the Helping Hands phone number (not a Street Champion).
Helping Hands are always here to offer support for residents in our Parish. At the current time we are concentrating on supporting residents during the Coronavirus pandemic. We have produced a variety of useful local and national information available by clicking on the topics on the left hand bar. Every household should have received our coronavirus circulars (March and May) providing important local information and advising how to access help and support locally if/when needed. We provide practical help for a wide range of tasks for any resident, young or old. Examples are fetching shopping, letter writing, filling out forms, transport, light gardening, collecting essentials and dog walking. Maybe you would like some help with mobile phones, computers or emails. Just call us!A specialised Prescription Team will collect prescriptions. If you need a prescription, we would encourage you to use this service by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 07726 278661.
